AI Scribe takes the typing out of note-taking. Speak your notes in plain language and the AI organises what you said into the fields of your treatment template — ready for you to check and tidy. It’s built to save time without taking you out of the driver’s seat: nothing lands in a note until you accept it.
Two ways AI helps
AI Scribe offers two modes, shown in the note sidebar:
- 1Dictate After — post-consultation
Record your notes after the session and AI structures them into your treatment-note fields. This is the mode available first.
- 2Live Scribe — during the consultation
AI listens during the consultation and captures notes from the conversation in real time. This mode is on its way.
Dictate after a session
Open the AI Scribe panel in the note sidebar, then:
- 1Choose your language
Pick the language you’ll speak — English (NZ, AU, UK or US) or Chinese.
- 2Start dictation
Click Start dictation and speak naturally. Your words appear in the transcript as you go, with a ● Recording indicator. Click Stop when you’re done.
- 3Tidy the transcript
The transcript is editable — fix anything that was misheard before structuring.
- 4Structure the note
Click Structure note. The AI reads your transcript and proposes values for the fields in your template.
Review the suggestions
AI never writes straight into your note. Instead it hands you a set of suggestions to check, each tied to a field and marked with a confidence level:
- 1Go field by field
For each suggestion, Accept it, Dismiss it, or Revert if you change your mind. Accepted text drops into the field straight away.
- 2Accept all & finish
Happy with the lot? Accept all & finish applies every remaining suggestion and closes the review.
- 3Discard & restart
Discard & restart clears the pending suggestions — keeping anything you’ve already accepted — so you can dictate again.
Privacy & your record
AI Scribe is designed for a clinical setting:
- 1Audio isn’t recorded
Only the text transcript is processed — your audio isn’t stored.
- 2Transcripts are kept for audit
The transcript is saved on the treatment for audit and compliance, alongside the note it helped produce.
- 3You’re always in control
AI suggests; you decide. Nothing becomes part of the note until you accept it.
