- Gensolve runs the export for you: email support@gensolve.com for an all-years export, delivered the day before you switch.
- Upload the ZIP files exactly as they arrive to OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, share them with admin@mananotes.co.nz and tell your account manager.
- After the export, stop entering data in Gensolve — and don’t add anything in ManaNotes until we confirm the import is done.
Request your export from Gensolve
You can’t export everything from Gensolve yourself — their team runs the export for you.
- 1Pick your switch-over date
Agree the day you’ll start working in ManaNotes with your account manager. Everything else is timed from it, so do this first.
- 2Email Gensolve support
Ask support@gensolve.com for an all-years export of your data, delivered the working day before your switch-over. Gensolve may charge a fee for it. Use the email below: fill in the [bracketed] parts, then copy it or open it in your email app.
- 3Keep the ZIP files as they are
Gensolve sends your data as ZIP files, and they can be large. Don’t unzip, rename or re-zip them — we need them exactly as Gensolve sent them.
- 4Upload them to cloud storage
Put the ZIP files in OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. Upload the files themselves rather than a folder of unzipped files — folders full of files often don’t share cleanly.
Send the files to us
Share the ZIP files from your cloud storage with admin@mananotes.co.nz and let your account manager know they’re on the way. They’re usually too big to email as attachments. Share them at least a day before your switch-over, so we can download everything before the import starts. Migration usually takes 2–3 business days; your account manager will confirm when your data is live in ManaNotes.
What comes across
We bring across your patients, their appointments and appointment types, clinical notes, and the files and letters on each patient’s record. Your data is copied, not moved — nothing is removed from Gensolve.
Your practitioners and locations can come across too, depending on how your clinic is set up in Gensolve. Our data migration team will look at your export and let you know if there’s anything to set up in ManaNotes first — including how to handle appointments with practitioners who’ve left.
When to do this
The export is a snapshot of Gensolve at the moment Gensolve runs it. Ask for it at a quiet moment — the end of your last day on Gensolve works well — and keep these two things in mind:
