- Field templates are reusable text snippets attached to a specific field — your standard wording, ready to insert.
- Save them as Personal (just you) or Public (the whole clinic), and tag them so they’re easy to find.
- While writing, insert one at a time, or apply templates across a whole section or the entire note at once.
Some lines you write on almost every note — a normal examination finding, standard advice, a consent statement. Field templates let you save that wording against the field it belongs to, so instead of retyping it you drop it in. Each field keeps its own set, so the right options are always close to hand.
Save a template for a field
You set field templates up from the form builder, on the field you want them for:
- 1Open the field’s settings
In the treatment form builder, open a text field and choose Manage Templates.
- 2Open Field Templates
The Field Templates drawer slides in, showing any templates already saved for this field.
- 3Add your text
Give the template a Title and the Content to insert. Add optional tags to make it searchable.
- 4Choose who sees it
Set the visibility to Personal (only you) or Public (everyone in the clinic), then click Add template.
Insert while writing a note
When you’re writing a note, your saved templates are in the Templates panel in the sidebar:
- 1Pick the field
Open the Templates panel and choose the field you’re filling in to see its templates.
- 2Insert one
Click Insert on a template to drop its text into the field, then edit from there as needed.
- 3Apply in bulk
In a hurry? Use Apply to this section or Apply to all fields to fill multiple fields with their templates at once.
Personal, Public and built-in
Templates come in three kinds:
- 1Personal
Yours alone — your own phrasing, not shown to the rest of the team.
- 2Public
Shared with everyone in the clinic, so the whole team can use the same standard wording.
- 3Built-in
Some templates come ready-made with ManaNotes. These are read-only — you can insert them, but they’re managed for you.
